Job Summary

Crowe’s dynamic and entrepreneurial Federal Solutions practice within the National Tax Office incorporates cutting edge technology into an innovative team-based approach to deliver specialized federal tax consulting to clients ranging from middle market companies to the Fortune 500. The group is currently searching for a manager to focus primarily on fixed asset services such as cost segregation studies, depreciation method change engagements, and fixed asset maintenance engagements, but who may also work in other federal specialty solutions. A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in managing new and existing engagements and client relationships and will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to perform and manage cost segregation studies, depreciation and capitalization methods reviews, and fixed asset maintenance for companies in a range of industries, including a deep understanding of both construction/engineering principles as well as tax/accounting principles related to tangible property
  • Strong tax technical capabilities
  • Ability to identify value-added opportunities and work in a team environment to develop new business
  • Ability to identify areas for process innovation, streamlined client service, and other areas to deliver high quality work product in a seamless manner to our clients
  • Proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Experience with developing the appropriate scope, pricing, and project team relative to specific fixed assets engagements
  • Ability to proactively manage revenue and budget expectations set both internally by the existing management team and externally by clients
  • Ability to mentor and develop the team including on the job technical training and coaching
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Personal drive to develop self/others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership team
  • Experience with statistical sampling, and understanding of SAP, SAGE, and BNA fixed assets management applications is a plus





  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, architecture, or related area 
  • 5+ years of cost segregation and tax depreciation consulting experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting experience



  • One of the following certifications is required:

             CPA, Enrolled Agent, Architect, Professional Engineer, Certified Cost Segregation Professional

  • Familiarity with construction design and construction processes
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance multiple engagements and competing priorities is required
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Willingness to travel 10% - 20%
