Job Summary

Crowe Horwath is looking for a Lead QA Analyst to join our Applied Technology business unit to lead QA teams consisting of up to six quality assurance testers. The QA Lead must have the ability to translate functional requirements / design specifications into quality test cases. To be successful the candidate must be experienced at leading and testing on large / complex projects, mitigating testing risk, and possess a solid understanding of all phases of the SDLC and of industry standard testing methodologies. The individual must also be driven and well-organized, exhibit excellent leadership qualities, with strong learning abilities and works well in a team environment. It is essential for the individual be self-motivated, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks to agreed schedules.  

  • 7+ years system development, business/systems analysis, testing, and/or business experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field
  • Testing Certification ISTQB Advanced Level preferred

Required Skills

  • Able to collaborate with QA Manager, Development and Business to determine the most effective and efficient functional and non-functional test strategy, and communicate that strategy to team members in an Agile Scrum development framework.
  • Able to plan the QA activities for functional and non-functional testing to fit the defined project schedule/budget and to quickly adjust to any changes in the project schedule and/or scope.
  • Able to create effective and efficient test cases in Microsoft Test Manager on defined scenarios.
