Job Summary

Crowe’s Public Sector helps government entities improve performance and efficiency across a broad array of their operational needs. Our public sector team members bring solutions that help government leaders with issues across financial management, operational efficiency and information technology in federal, state and local governments.


Crowe is hiring to expand our base of government performance improvement services to state and local government clients. We are seeking an executive level consultant with 15+ years of experience in state and local government to take a leadership role with market development in our Chicago based consulting group, serving the Chicago region and the State of Illinois. The candidate will take a leadership role in growing the market by developing new business.





Job Duties:

  • Identify and foster opportunities in the market.
  • Lead business development efforts, write proposals and attend market-facing events including conferences.
  • Define solutions to meet client needs and address critical issues and business challenges.
  • Serve as a relationship manager to accounts.
  • Provide support to our client-facing leader by assisting with staff recruiting and staff development.
  • Support client delivery staff.


  • Undergraduate degree (and graduate degree preferable) with 15+ years of experience.
  • A track record of selling services and solutions to state and local government in Illinois.
  • Experience writing proposals and estimating project work.
  • Ability to provide leadership and contribute as a member of the project team as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel).     

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience leading business process redesign activities
  • Experience leading organizational change management activities, including training
  • Experience with conducting projects for state and local governmental agencies
  • 10+ years of experience managing and delivering professional consulting services
  • Travel may be required (approximately 20-40%)
