Job Summary

Crowe Horwath’s Mergers & Acquisitions Optimization (M&AO) practice is seeking an experienced hire to fill a Senior Consultant role.  This individual will provide specialized expertise in leading clients from planning through execution of complex mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and transformations.


Senior Consultants are expected to apply their knowledge and experience and work with limited guidance in the following areas:

  • Managing large-scale integration management offices (IMO);
  • Supporting functional work streams in the planning and execution of merger initiatives;
  • Performing complex data analysis to identify, assess, and track synergy opportunities;
  • Developing executive-level written deliverables to support client key decision makers
  • Providing broad project management support including driving integration progress, synergy capture, and risk mitigation
  • Providing support to operational performance improvement initiatives


Locations: Chicago or Atlanta


The successful Senior Consultant will be highly adaptable, and open to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.  This person will have significant independence to define and deliver the work required to make our clients successful. Advanced skills in analysis and written and verbal communication are critical, as this role will require significant executive-level interaction.  A Senior Consultant should also have the desire to contribute to ongoing practice and business development efforts.


In addition, a Senior Consultant will have the opportunity to expand their skillset through interaction with other M&A service lines, including valuation and due diligence.  He/she will also be expected to complete other miscellaneous tasks, as required.  



  • BS/BA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Technology and three to five years of professional work experience. A graduate degree is welcomed.
  • M&A exposure and experience is welcomed.
  • High-level of analytical proficiency with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into meaningful conclusions.
  • Experience with continuous improvement principles such as Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Desire to contribute to business development objectives, including forging meaningful relationships with existing clients.
  • Must be willing to travel 80-100%.
  • The ideal candidate will be based in Chicago or Atlanta.
