Data Security Administrator

Job Summary

Crowe Horwath is seeking a Data Security Administrator. The responsibilities will be building and managing Crowe's unstructured data security program, writing supporting policy, procedures, knowledge base articles and training Crowe Information Services (IS) and client staff in the program.  This position will also provide backup on other security administration tools as determined by the security administration team leader.

 

Utilizing Crowe Varonis suite and other tools preform the following on Crowe’s unstructured data (server file shares and Sharefile sites).

  • Clean up dead SIDs
  • Secure highly sensitive data (Social Sec. numbers and CC numbers)
  • Identify and remediate high risk access control issues
  • Automate data retention
  • Implement file and folder alerting
  • Identify and involve data owners
  • Implement folder ownership
  • Implement automated folder permission approval workflows

Author and administer the policy, procedures, knowledgebase articles to support the data security management program.

 

Train IS and Crowe staff on all aspects of the data administration policy.

 

Provide backup on other security administration tools.

 


Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows file systems, file and folder rights.
  • Technical writing experience
  • Conducted end user training
  • Industry certifications desired
  • Ability to travel up to 10% yearly.
